Vitamin B6 BP/EP/USP
English Name: PYRIDOXINE HCL
[Molecular formula]: C8H11NO3.HCl
Character: White or white crystalline or crystalline powder, odorless, bitter and sour, gradually deteriorated when exposed to light. It is soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in trichloromethane or ether.
[Functions and uses]
1. Mainly used for dermatitis and peripheral neuritis.
2. In clinical treatment of vitamin B6 and nicotinic acid or nicotinamide deficiency, vitamin B6 is often used simultaneously to improve the curative effect.
3. This product is also used for the treatment of gastrointestinal reactions and spasms caused by cyanoacetylhydrazine, isoniazid, penicillamine and cycloserine poisoning.
