[Molecular formula]: C8H11NO3.HCl

 

Character: White or white crystalline or crystalline powder, odorless, bitter and sour, gradually deteriorated when exposed to light. It is soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in trichloromethane or ether.

 

[Function and Use] When vitamin B6 is deficient, the growth of young animals is slow or stopped. Pigs, dogs, monkeys and other animals showed severe red blood cell and hemoglobin deficiency anemia and poor growth. Disturbance of glutamate metabolism in pigs causes glutamate to accumulate in the brain, stimulate the cerebral cortex, cause local epileptic foci, and cause epileptic seizures in pigs. When chickens lack vitamin B6, they have strong excitability, neurological symptoms, weakness of legs, dermatitis, hair loss, hair follicle bleeding, higher mortality rate, lower laying rate and hatching rate of eggs.
